The types of solids will be explained and made more clear in this article.Solid means that it is a colloid or matrix of matter. This matter has no air molecules in it, so it cannot be said to be part of the atmosphere. Some solids can become liquids because they contain liquid molecules. These molecules exist in gas form.Liquid means that it contains molecules that are electrically charged. These molecules exist in gas form. This difference in the way the molecules react to an electric current is what causes them to be attracted to each other. All solids, except for the gaseous ones, can be described as liquids.Not all solids are liquids. Some are solid. Although it might sound strange to say this, some materials can be described as solid but have properties of a liquid. Some examples of mat erials that are described as solid but have properties of a liquid are graphite, rutile, and quartz. There are a few different types of solids.The most common type of solid is the gel. This is because a gel is a solution composed entirely of one liquid. If this type of solid were not a liquid, it would be called a solid-like gas.The next type of solid is the gummy. In fact, a gummy solid is exactly the same as a solid except that it has gummy molecular structure. The amount of gummy material is proportional to the amount of the other liquid. The gummy solid can also be considered a liquid, depending on how it was created.The next type of solid is the hard solid. This is actually a mixture of gels and solids. Although this type of solid can be described as a liquid, it cannot be compared to a liquid because it does not have the same chemical properties.Finally, there is the soft solid. This type of solid is composed of gels and other solids. The hardness of this type of solid is base d on the thickness of the molecular bonds between the molecules.
